I'm Ernesto Shabatay. I shoot in natural light wherever it's possible, and I don't direct much — the good frame usually arrives about forty seconds after people stop performing for me.
Weddings are most of my year. I work the whole day quietly, one camera, no second shooter unless the venue demands it. What you get back is the day as it actually happened, not a set of poses you'll recognize from someone else's gallery.
Based in Brooklyn. I travel for work, and I've never once regretted saying yes to a plane.
A separate craft. Kept separate.
I don't believe generated images replace a shoot, and none of the photography on this site was made with them. But when a brief genuinely calls for it — a music video concept, a character who has to stay the same person across twenty shots — I take that work, and I do it properly.
